According to Drown, tho note
which contains a warning against giv
ing credence to tho slutumonts of
Morris Lubau nnd Max Margolls who
were witnesses against the gunmen,
wns written by a former assistant to
District Attorney Whitman, Intended
for tho guidance of former Governor
Sulior. The note beam no date nor
signature.
Drown said it was written early
last fall. Tho note sas "Do erv
careful as to anything given by Lu
bau or Mnrgolis."
