council power to extend the franchise
limit to 30 oars was defeated an
election paradox.
The electric company has ex
pressed a desire to settle the Imiic
at once, without litigation In the
courts which they fear will antago
nize the taxpayers against them. The
matter of the expense of the electlo'i.
which would benefit chiefly the com
pany, will also bo adjusted.
