the Grent Northern train robber sus
pect, who is also accused of a triple

Concrete to Mount Vernon crowds
gathered to see Hopkins, nnd the lat
ter, nt first exhibiting n spirit of
bravado, invited them to "come and
take n look at the animal."
When the party got off tho train
hero several hundred jH'oplc crowded
the two blocks to the jail and both
Hopkins nnd Hall showed extreme
nervousness.
Hopkins wns visibly affected and
hastily inquired if there was any dan
ger of being lynched.
"If there is," he aid, "give me u

When the jail doors closed on him,
Hopkins laughed hysterically and Hall
joined him in laughter shortly afterward.
