Jacobson and Mrs. Kilo Duffy, both
of whom claim to have come )o Hose
burg ;rom Medford, were arrested in
a Sheridan street rooming house by
Officers Williams and Ketch. They
aro accused ot a statutory offense.
The couple were taken in custody
by the officers when they found
two marked dollars previously
given to a local jouug man by the
police lu possession of the woman.
Tho ybung. man In question claims
that lie gave the marked dollars to
Jacobson, and was later escorted to
the apartments of the woman. Ho
had been In the room but a minute,
however, when the officers appeared
on the scene and made the arrests.
Jacobson and Mrs. Duffy were sen
tenced to terms ot 10 das In Jail
and fined in the sum of $50 each. On
their promise to get married and
leave town bentence was suspended
Jacobson and Mrs. Duffy claimed
they were enroutc to Eugene to get
