They wore- rated In four degrees. A,
I), C and D, each classification count
ing 10, S, 6 and 4 points. Tho rec
ords wero for four years before and
four years after marriage.
Tho 114, In tho aggrcgato pro
duced a rating of 10,372 points for
instruction and 10,376 points for dis
cipline beforo marriage. After mar
riage, Instruction roso to 10.S7S
Joints and discipline to 11,370
points. This gave, each of tho 114
teachers an average rating of 91 for
Instruction and 94 for dlsclpllno bo
foro marriage and 95 for instruction
and 100 for discipline after mar
riage The figures showed that marriage
improved tho teachers astonishingly
in the matter of dlsclpllno and also
brought up their instruction averago
to a rcmarkablo extent. These same
114 teachers, who showed such im
provement In their work, were ab
sent a total ot 2449H days in tho
school year beforo they wero mar
ried and 4299 days after marriage,
giving them averages ot 21 and 28
days respectively.

can bo shipped for 54 cents In tho
first two lonea, which cover a terri
tory for Mcdford as far east as Lake,
county, west to tho Pacific ocean,
north to Kugcno, and south to lied
ding, California.
Locally, and on tho R, F. D.
routes CO pounds can bo shipped for
SO conts, with a rate of five conts
for the first pound, two cents for
each additional -pound, a slight re
duction on tho old schedulo.
Tho new rato, per pound In the
third, fourth, fifth, and sixth tones,
nro respectively, C.2 2-3 cunts, 7.4
1-4, 8.6 1-2, and 9-8 cents.
In the sevouth and eighth zones
thwo are no reductions.
