The statements which were made
separately, were taken by Warden

According to tho alleged story,
Frekas provoked the troublo between
him and Deduskalous because the
latter wouldn't loan him money with
which to buy whiskey. They assert
that In the ensuing tusscl trekas
stabbed Dodaskatous and then beat
In his head with a rock or piece of
Iron. Spanos alleges he witnessed
tlw crime, but, they say, Seymour
was not present.
Whon shown the report from
Salem to the effect that Mike Spanos
and Frany Parker, alias Seymour,
had made a confession to Warden
Lawson at Salem Implicating Tom
Frekas with tho killing of Dcdaska
lous for which crime Spanos and
Seymour are under sentence of death,
District Attorney Kelly stated that
the story of Spanos and Seymour was
worthy of very little credence. Doth
