In tho Albany district nearly every
form of farm produce has had n ser
ious setback. Potatoes wero froxen
In tho ground in Henssclacr county.
Ityo Is tho only crop in tho Albany
district reported generally good. Sar
atoga fatuity represents n good buy
crop, with n light yield or oats and
ryo; In that county fruits look good,
and a fair yield of apples Is prom
ised, inoro aro practically no
strawberries in this section.
Tho Niagara-Orleans county fruit
- belt reports great damage from tho
frost of May 12. In tho Lnko Ontar
io counties apples will be about half
n crop It Is an off year for Bald
wins, fow trees showing any blos
soms. Greenings will show lighter.
Kings nro in tho best shape. Tho
peach crop will bo fair. Grapes -core
badly damaged. Thero will bo n
heavy pear crop, especially Bartletts.
Quinces were wiped out. Early
cherries wero badly damaged, but
lato chorrics will yield fairly well.
In tho Hudson valley fruits woro
ruined. Columbia County farmers
until recently mado no. effort to
plant corn. Ryo and oats aro fair.
Grass will bo below an average crop.
