I am much interested in these speci
mens and in your description of the
behavior of this fungus on tho cherry,
which is very similar to thnt I ob
served on cherries in Europe. I do

hosts it bceins probable that there arc
nt least two species. Whether thoy
can bo determined satisfactorily by
morphological characters I am not
certain. Some of our European
friends, however, maintain that this
can be done. It would bo interesting
if you, could find the nscospore stage
of this.
