foro the city council Friday night
and asked that tho ordlnnnco which
created an examining board of rival
plumbers bo repealed. Chllds made
a very dramatic appeal to tho council.
It Is reported that Chllds is not a
first class workman and that ho
failed to pass an examination. Chllds
states that tho examination was a
farco.
Tho council will go Jnto the mat
ter next Tuesday night.
WASHINGTON', May 17. To
create n revenue fund in the Crater
Lnko National Park, Representative
Hnwley of Oregon Ims today intro
duced the following bill in cengress:
"That tho secretary of the interior
is hereby authorized nnd directed to
hold in his department all of the pro
ceeds of all lenses, licenses, fran
chises nnd permits of ever)- kind in
the Crater Lake National Park nnd
nil other revenue that may bo de
rived from any sources connected
with the park, to be known ns the
Crater Lake National Park revenue
fund, nnd that such revenue fund
bhall bo extended under his direction
in the management of the same, nnd
the construction, repairs nnd im
provements of the roads, trails nnd
bridges in the reserve.
