Huccrvi Crowns Policy
Certain it is that dim txilicy has
been marked with sinciilar success.
The public market linn undoubtedly
proved tbo greatest stimulus to local

of this market has done much to dis

Pmiha for ltunynrd
Wo believe that tho exceptional
success of tho market bus been duo
largely to tho ubility, judgment and
foresight of tbo present murkcl mas

We find that tho market master
bus devoted practically his entire
time to tho work of this market. Ho
has advised mid consulted with pro

mid iu what iiuaiilities. Ho has by
such advice and ussistnnco dona a

discover the names of the producers
uf different articles and products de

has developed a shortage in nny line
of produce, has advised those having
tho same of such shortage and has in
many cases succeeded in hnving tho

Tho market master has kept in
communication constantly with tho
market committee of tbo council and
has at nil times kept them advised as
to conditions nud all problems arising
but hns ticver mndo any formal re
port to the city council.
Wo find that tho market master
has used his best efforts to prevent
tho market bring used by speculators
and we believe that he has been ex
ceptionally successful iu this respect.
Wo do not believe that the time has
yet arrived for amending the ordui
nncc but believe that tho present mar
ket master and a committee of the
council should be placed iu cliurgo of
the market and should continue their
uivestigatious until they nro satisfied
as to what tho rules and regultaions
governing tbo market should be and
then that a suitable ordinance should
bo enacted.
