PROMISES FLOCK TO FOLLOW
Promising that his entire congre
gation of several hundred peoplo
would follow him to tho Rogue River
valley. Rev. E. R. Little, pastor of
tho Methodist church of Lake Pres
ton. South Dakota, purchased Tues
day 21 acres In Roguelands for $200
an aero and will make his home on
tho tract In the near future. The
tract is number 9C and Dr. Little will
devotes the land to tho production
of onions and potatoes.
Rognelands presents a prosperous
appearance these days. Gardens are
being made and trees planted and
weather conditions have been Ideal
for tho starting of a bumper crop.
Arrangements have been made with
a products concern In Portland by
which the entire crop of jnolcms will
be taken this year In carload lots.

Mrs. George Sutton died at Jack
sonville Saturday, April 20. Mrs.
Sutton had been a resident or Jack
son county for about -M years. Uo
sldes her husband she leaves two
children, Mrs. Anna Coffman and
Mrs. Rosa Coldsby. Interment took
placo at the old Logtown cemetery
near Ruch, five miles from Jackson
ville. About 200 peoplo gathered nt
tho cemetery, a largo per cent of
whom were relatives of Mrs. Sutton.
A short service was conducted at
tho gravo by Rev. J. II. Doran of
Medford.
Mrs. Sutton had been a sufferer
for about 30 yean and had exhibited

years of affliction.
