Miss Emma Oaunyaw, who was
operated upon last week at the Sa
cred Heart hospital by Dr. Porter, Is
said to liave recovered from tho im
mediate results of the operation and
hor .condition Is at this time so much
Improved that It Is expected her
health will bo completely restored.
Mies Gaunyaw has been an invalid for
10 or 12 jears, much of the time con
fined to her bed. During all these
years of suffering she has, however,
become an expert needlewoman nnd
artist, and much of her lace work
and many of her paintings have been
on exhibition in store windows of
Medford.

Medford from Joseph, Ore., a carload

the family will arrive within a few

for several weeks. She has recovered
her usual good health.
