stroyer Henley, representing a type
of torpedoboat destroyer now to the
American navy, was successfully
launched today at the yard of the
Fore River Shipbuilding company.
Tho Henley will be the first of tho de
stroyers fitted with both turbine and
reciprocating engines. The recipro
cating engines will be used for cruis
ing at from ten to sixteen knots apeed.
When tho vessol Is to be run at a
higher rate of speed the reciprocating
engines will be cut out and the tur
