was up a point and American Smelt

Valley, Rock Island and Pennsylvania
rose substantially. Profit taking later
caused irregularity and the los of

The market closed steady.

today and William K. Ward is in Jail
here charged with bis murder. Jeal
ousy over Mrs. Aim, wife of the dead

trouble.
