A man standing on the corner by the "Public Library" KNOCKING loud and long about the "Food Trust," Hard
Times, Short Hours and big pay, soft jobs in the west and then taking a parting shot at Taft, Roosevelt, Bryan,
Morgan, Rockefeller and a few more of our ftfends, turned to mo with the remark that just a year or so ago he
could have bought all that corner where the Medford Hotel was now located for Twolvo Hundred Dollars, BUT
HE DIDN'T. Maybe in two or three months from now this same party will inform you that he could have bought
that NEW, LARGE, CLASSY BUNGALOW cottage on Rose avenue for $3250, but ho DIDN'T. I overheard a
lady tell her husband that she would take this house at $3500 but it looked to her like as if I was giving TOO
MUCH for the money in disposing of this Handsome Home for $3500, and she also said that it was her private opin
ion that half of the stuff that made up the construction was not PAID FOR, because tho price was to.o extremely
low. Queer people in this locality. Now I suppose she. will walk on the other side of the street when she hoars of
the price, $3200. Now to ease this lady's mind, she might call at tho office of the Trail Lumber Co. anc see tho re
ceipts for $1050 for the lumber and mill work, Garnett-Coroy Co. $300 for tho plumbing, and $125 for the hardware,
Flynn Bros. $245 wiring and electrical fixtures and $232 for the stone and brick work put in by Mr, Torn A, Davis,
R.)A. Stevens $305 for painting and decorating and $560 to F. P. Hicks for carpenter work and if she will givo our
leading'attorney; Mr. Gus Newbury, a "Five" spothewiU show her wljere tho title is absolutely clear andjO. K.
