The plans which will be presented
have all been prepared by local archi
tects. The cost of the new church
building will in all probability be be
tween $25,000 and $30,000. The site
already selected for the new houe
of worship nnd owned by the church
is on the northeast comer of Hartlett
and Third streets, one block north
from the old church building.
The finance committee of the
church report splendid success in
their efforts to secure the necessary
funds with which to build the new
church. It is oxiwcted the old
church and the lots upon which it
stands will be sold at n fairly good
price, which will go u long way in
paying the osjMinses of the new one.
There is great assurance given by
this comrnitteo that a new church
will be built this coming season and
thnt work on it will be started within
n short time.
Every officer of the church is ex
pected to be present at the meeting
Tuesday night.

The famine situation in southeast

of victim. It is stated that in some

children have been stricken.

St. Petersburg prohibiting relief by
private individuals and organisations,

estimated will be sufficient to keep

Edward P. Vickroy, a pioneer citi
zen of Jacksonvillet died in that city
Friday morning, February 2, 1912,
aged 84 years, 1) months nnd-27 days.
Deceased was a native of Ohio
and came to Jacksonville in 185U.

live state soon after his arrival in
Jacksonville, but about that time the
Indian warn broke out in the valley
and instead of going east he remained
hero nnd fought bhoulder to shoul
der with other brave men of those
nerve testing days of Indian mnssn-

Viokroy was a bachelor and followed
mining and farming as a melms of
gaining a livelihood.
Funeral services will be held nt the
grave in the Jacksonville cemetery,
Saturday at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Johu-
soli officiating.
