Peaco Taylor's court charging W.
McChorry, a guest at the Holland,
with unlawfully removing his bag
gage from the hutel on January 30
with the purpose and Intent of de
frauding Mr. Butz and the hotel out
of $6, alleged to be due for room
rent.
A warrant of arrest was at onco
Issued from Judge Taylor's court and
was placed In Constabto Slngler's
bands for service, and that officer is
now out hunting his man. McChorry
registered as coming from Portland.

Owing to a new ruling on the
Southern Pacific lines Medford mer
chants will not have to await pay
ment for shortage or damago of
goods for six months or so, as A. S.
Roseubaunt, superintendent of the
Medfqrd division, has been Instruct
ed to viow such claims and if worthy
to pay the amount demanded.
Heretofore when goods arrived In
a damaged condition tho claim had
to go through a lot of red tape, which
included Several offlcea. Under tho
present system Mr. Rosenbaurit will
take the matter up In person and on
determining the amount of money
due he will pay tho claimant tho
amount due.
