The work was beautifully exempli
fled. Mr. Daffy of Portland will
never be forgotten by Medford Catho
lics. The same energy ho has shown
in railroad row in Portland was
shown to tho new knight sal Medford.
Mr. Kollohor, tho no wdfctrirt deputy
of tho Willomotte valley, did his work
most acceptably, in fact, gaining the
praise of his critics. '
A most bountiful banquet was
served in St. Mark's hall by theTadies
of the parish. A concert was given
by tho pupils of St. Mary's academy
which, in tho opinion of those presont
at tho banquet, "was a wonderful ex
position of what the sistors do for
their pupils. The banquet waa the
most palatable and enjoyable that the
knights have ever enjoyed.
During the banquet there was
mueh joviality. Tho remarks made
by tho speakers, Messrs. Shane. ICel
leher, Tillman, Berges and Smnott
were most enjoyable. All the speak
ers were introduced bv tho tonstmas

locality, and were it not for their in
forests elsewhere, Medford would be
their locating place. Ml'dford, like
Cincinnati, mui be called tho Queen

of tho Rogue Rior vnley.
At a late hour the butiquot cere
monies ended. The member retired
to the Hotel Medford, where until an
early hour this morning' the visitors
were entertained bv the hospitulitv of
Medford knights. '
The committee on arrangements
has earned a most honrty praise for
their cntctfaiumdnt, mid (he visiting
members leave here witb regrets for
not being able to stay in Medford
longer.
