Fruit and Old Age.
Physiologists claim that growth from
Infancy to old ngo is n process) of grnd
mil ossification nnd that the stiffness
of nge Is caused by the deposits of cal
careous matter or earthy salU. There
fore a diet containing 'n large propor
tlon of tlieso salts, food rich in nitro
gen, such as tho cereals, beans, peas
and meat. Increases tho natural tend
ency to ossification. sayB Health. For
this reason a diet mada up largely of
fruit, which contains n minimum
amount of this calcareous matter, is
scientifically best adapted to persons In
ndvnnclng yearn. Largo caters add to
tho liability of ossillc deposit from
overworking tho eliminating organs by
nn excess of nutritive material ujitll
their healthful activity Is destroyed,
and tho whole system suffers in conse
quence. Old ngo indicates loss food
and n maximum amount of fruit as the
diet.
