20,000 in interest according to City
Recorder Jiobert W. Telfer, because
her residents and property owners
have been prompt in the payment of
assessments for service mains and
paving. Had these payments been
delayed the city necesssarily would
havo had to pay interest for a
longer period of time, which would
have been a dead loss.
"It is surprising how well proper
ty owners are paying up," says Mr.
Telfer. "We hnve comparatively few
