of Fred Hopkins, the assumption of
Medford citizenship of K. A. Iteames,
and the oKiiitie; of the splendid coun

bration; but big affairs crowd so fast
011 the capital of the ltoguo Hirer

A committee awaited Mr. Hopkins ut
the Nash hotel, and offered him the
freedom of the city; Gordon Voories
made an eloquent sjieech of welcome,
in which he said that Portland's loss
was Medfurd's gain.. Hciimes was
also accorded the freedom of the city,
which includes the right to drive an
auto at 11 speed not to exceed 10
miles an hour within the corjsmite
limits.

still some fine fish in that beautiful
stream. It is doubtful if even her

of wealth to Medford as is the

all over the country go to catch their
largest trout.
