the belief of See. See, who is charged

permission lo address the jurors
himself so that the public will dis
cuss his case and the thought waves
created will favor dim and thus re

LOS ANGELES, Juno 1C Hlcardo
Flores Magon, president of. the Moxl
can liberal party, asserted In an In
terview given at tho county Jail to
day thut big capitalistic Interests in
Wnll street arc against him and bad
brought about his arrest and the ar
rest of other leaders of the' liberal
party.
"The big Interests of Mexico,'" ha
said, "all of which are centered In
Wall street, have made a deal with
Madero, and both desiring to see the
liberal movement deefated, influence
has been brought to bear which has
resulted In our arrest.
"It Is easy to seo why they should
want to keep us In jail. Madero, of
course does not want bis power
threatened, and the capitalistic Inter
ests want to see the economic condi
tions revert once more to a status of
stability, and In the same channels as
things moved during the old Diaz reg
ime. Seen a Deal.
"From my Information and belief
It was a deal effected between Amer
ican capital and Madero thatibrought
about the end of the revolution and
the success of Madero. The fate of
the revolution was really decided in
a conference between Gustavo Ma
dero and Limantour. Diaz' minister of
finance, which was held at the Astor
hotel in New York. Limantour was
convinced by Madero that his brother
had the big capitalistic interesta ot
Mexico and Wall street behind him.
Limantour then went back to Mexico
and convinced Diaz of this fact, and
Diaz promptly resigned.
"Tho American lnterosts made a
deal with Madero upon his promlso of
protection and upon their belief that
their interests would prosper under
Madero's rule. Where American cap
italists inndo their mistake was in
believing that the Mexican revolution
was simply a revolution to change
masters. They did not understand that
t was brought about by economic con
ditions nnd that it would never stop
till these conditions were satisfied.
Will Help Mudero.
"Now tho intorests are commencing
to see that Madero cannot make good
his promises becauso ho cannot con
trol tho situation. The poor working
classes aro not content simply to
change masters; they demand privi
leges and will not lay down their
urms till thesa domands, particularly
in regard to rights of property, aro
gratified.
"Thereforo tho representatives ot
tho iuteresta the Wall street Intor-
i
ests have gotten together with Ma
dero and tho two have decided that
influence which only Wall street
can oxert must bo brought to bc&v
on tho situation through tho officers
