resentatlves of tho Scrtpps-McRae
League of newspapers were barred
from the floor of the state senate to
day by a vote of 24 to S. The action
followed the refusal of editors of
these papers to appear beforo an In
vestigating committee to testify in the
present legislative graft cases.

ment of the owner or by condemnation.
For 60 years It has been maintain
ed on a toll basis and has been own
ed by Dollnrhlde and his family for
the past .10 years. Prior to that :t

The lino of this road has been the
scene of many tragedies and In tho
early days stage robberies were or
dinary accurances. Many lines bavo
been lost on It and incidents hnvo
