Friday by Mr. Doctor, but the sale
was not very well attended, as the
articles advertised were not In de
mand old houselujld goods, wagon

Lust Sunday I visited the family
of J. J. Fryer and while there met
In addition to his grandson, Austin
Green and wife, Miss Emma Wcisc
and Miss Emma Maltby of Medford
and her sister, Miss Jennie Maltby of
Trail. While thero Dr. Anderson and
his partner of Central Point came in.
Dr. A. has been treating Mr. Green's
foot, which wns shot some weeks ago,
and he dismissed the ense that day,
and tho arrangements were unado
then to have mo take him, his wife
and Miss Jennie Maltby up to Peter
lletz' place on Rogue river on Mon
day, and there they were to bo met
by party from near their homo and
tnken on, hut when wo reached our
destination wo found that the other
party had not arrived, so wo loft
them with Mrs. D. and returned home
hut during the trip wo realized what
It was to bo out in an April squall
rain, wind and snow.
Last Saturday there was a party,
composed of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gro-
vcr and children, their friends who
are vlBltlng them from tho east, Mr,
and Mrs. Hurbort, Mrs. Art Thomas,
William Knighton and wife, went to
tho top of Tablo Rock on a picnic.
While Dr. Anderson was out last
Sunday ho and his partner perform
ed a surgical operation on Mrs.
Karns' little boy, but tho nature of
tho operation I did not learn.
Frank Davis and Thomas Homeric,
two men who were raised In this sec
tion of the country, were among tho
guests at tho SunhysldO Sunday eve
ning. W. W. WIllutB of Persist was with
uh Friday and Saturday nights. He
went to Medford on Saturday, re
turning homo Sunday.
John hidden of Wcnatchco, Wadh.,
came in Saturday evening nnd en
gaged a room for an Indoflnito pe
riod. He Is hero looking for a busi
ness location.
-"Mr. and Mrs. Cnrr, rec6ntly from
Los Angeles, came out Sunday morn
ing, procured a rig nnd drove out to
look at tho country, spent the night
at tho Sunnyside and Monday morn
ing decided to get a tent nnd enmp
up at Mr. Fclfrey's place and then
look around. Mrs. Wllfrey is ah old
friend of Mrs. Carr's and they antic
ipate having a good time together
this summer. Mr. Cnrr Is looking for
a place for a home.
The excursion train passed thruogh
here for Ilutto Falls all O. K. and I
understand thnt tho Ilutto Falls vis
itors had a very enjoynblc time.
