Several New Miles of Streets are
Also to Be Paved.
Clark and Hencry Construction
company are preparing to finish
their Medford contract, which will
keep them busy all summer. In. ad
dition, several miles of new streets
aro to bo paved, upon which new
contracts will bo let.
The pavement laid by them the
past year has proven satisfactory and
It Is the general opinion thnt Clark
& IlPiinry'R asphalt pavement Is the
best street pavement yet laid in Med
ford. Great care is exercised In the
selection of materials. Only clean
river sand Is used in tho concrete,
which thus gives a solid base.
The foundation laid by Clark &.
Henery differs from that previously
laid here, being concrete instead of
loose crushed r.ock. As all tho voids
aro filled, It does not nettle uneven
ly , Then follows tho binder and
the asphalt surface.
So far, Clark & Henery have done
a good Job and tho public is well sat
isfied with the results.
