et. The city of Alodford doth ordain
ns follews:
Section 1. Whereas, the city coun
cil did heretofore, by resolution de
claro Its Intention to lay i 4-lnch
wntcr main on West Thirteenth streot
from King streot to Peach street and
to narfess the cost thereof on tho prop
orty rrontlng on said portion ot said
street In proportion to tho rrontage
or said proporty, and Hx a tlmo and
place for hearing protests against
too laying or said wator main on
said part of said street and the as
sessment of the cost thereof as afore
said; and
Whereas, said resolution was duly
published nnd posted as retjulred by
section 11G of tho charter of said
city; and
Whereas, a meeting of tho coun
cil wns held at tho tlmo und place
fixed by said resolution, for tho pur
pose of considering any such pro
tests, nut no protests were nt said
tlmeirtor at any other tlmo made to
or rocelvod by tho council to the said
laying of said water main or tho as
sessment of tho cost thereof as afore
