MONEY ORDERS i
IRE EXPENSIVE1
New Renulations Raise Cost of Those
Issued on Foreign Offices, Which
Will Increase Recp.inis in i ni
Postoff ice Many Sent From Here'
The receipts of tlio Medford post
office during this year will materially
Increase In the money order depart
ment owIiib to an order just Issued
by the postmaster general raising the
rates on foreign money orders, of
which a great number are dispatched
from the local office by laborers on
the Pacific & Eastern.
A copy of the new regulation just
received here shows that an Increase
of from fiO to 100 per cent has been
made in the money order rate. It
applies to all foreign countries, two
classes being listed, which havo a
slightly varying rate for small
amounts.
For a long time the charge for
money orders to foreign countries was
$1 a hundred, with a graduated scale
for smaller amounts. About two ears
ngo a cut was made In this rate to
something like 50 per cent of the old
figure. Now a raise has been made,
which restores the charge to some
thing like its old figure, with even
an increase over that in certain cases.
The new regulation is to go Into ef
fect after February 1.

THE
Enables us lo offer what we honestly believe is the best
bargain in a producing orchard in the valley. There are
;$F acres in the tract and it is only a mile from a shipping
station.
There are about! 1 acres in apples, Ben Davis, Winesaps,
Spitzenbergs, Ncwtowns. Trees are about 20 years eld:
They are in good condition and produce heavily.
There are also about 12 acres in standard varieties of
peaches, in full bearing. About 8000 crates of peaches
were shipped from this orchard last year.
There are also S acres planted to Newtown apples, which
were three years old this winter.
The balance of the land is cleared and was in grain lust
year.
The buildings consist of a house, burn and packing
house.
We think a reasonable estimate of the crop on this place
this coming vear would be 3000 to '1000 boxes of tipples and
0000 to 8000 crates of peaches.
A team of horses and a full eojuipment of machinery govs
wtih the place.
The price Is $1",000, a trifle more than $100 an acre. The
terms asked are half cash, balance easy. If you cannot
meet these terms as to the cash required, make us an offer.
