expense. Tho largo basis for tax
ation will make tho levy very small.
On tho basis of last year's assess
ment, and tho number of pupils en
rolled iu tho high schools of the
county, a levy of four-tenths of a
mill on (ho dollar would have move
than provided tho fund. That would
mean a 10-cont tax on $1000 worth
of property.
