ANOTHER SUSPECT
IN TIMES CASE

Papers Found On Him.
LOS ANGELES, Cnl., Oct. 22.-

to the county jail.
When Fitzgerald was taken to the
Kings county hospital at Ilnnford
papers found in his pockets caused
the authorities to notify the- San
Francisco polico that he might have
some knowledge- of the dynamiting
of tho Los Angeles Times buildintr.
No chargo was fled against him. He
-will bo detained and questioned, pend
ing other investigations the officers
jro making.
Mrs. Belle Laviu. who was arested
in San Francisco, will not be arraign
ed on a charge of murder, accordng
to the detectives who brought her to
Los Angeles. It was believed that
she would bo arraigned yesterday and
the decision of the authorities has
caused the belef that they have gain
ed from her certain iuformaton thsy
"have been seeking.
Earl Rogers and the other investi
gators were little moved when .told of
tho report that three men suspected
of the dynamiting hnd been arrested
at Sun Benito, Mexico.
He refused to discuss tho report.
WADE CAPTURED
IN WILLOWS GAL.
After eluding tho Oregon authori
ties for many weeks, Frank Wade,
'ono of tho most desperate men who
ho? ever escaped from tho criminal
insane ward at the state asylum, has
'been placed under arrest at Willows,
Cnl. Wade was one of five convicts
who made a break from tho criminal
lnsano ward several weeks ago. Throe
of them being Immediately recaptur
ed and the fifth man is still at large.
Wade was tho man most badly
wanted by tho officers. He was sent
to the penitentiary for commuting a
murder In Jackson county, his broth
er being sentenced at the same time
for the same offense. Both received
lifo sentences, but the brother was
pardoned a number of years ago.
Wade was later sent to the criminal
ward at the asylum. Officers here
"have always considered him most
dangerous as a criminal and he has
leon closely watched.
He was arrested in California un
der the alias of Wiley, on r. charge of
"horse stealing. In one of his pockets
was found a letter addressed to the
governor of Oregon and signed Frank
Wade. The document is a lengthy
one and typewritten, evidently hav
ing been written for him by someone
else. He explains all tho details In
-connection with his caso and seeks to
' securo a pardon. Whether Wade will
be taken back to Salem Is not yet
known. The penitentiary authorities
Tvere notified cf his arrest, but as he
was in custodj at the asylum when
ho escaped, what disposition will be
made of his case is not determined.
