By invitation of Station Agent Ro
Benbaum, a committee of the Greater
Medford club met tho gentlemen and
offered tho assistance of the club In
helping to beautify the grounds. The
ladies wero shown over tho depot,
which Is ono of tho finest and largest
In the stato. It is finished in beau
tofully polished fir and tho color
scheme Is most harmonious, soft
shades of brown being used. The
depot is well arranged and commo
dious, and will be a great credit to
Medford.
A general plan has been mado for
tho grounds, but a more comprehen
sive one will bo finished by tho time
of tho opening of tho depot.
Tho ground between the now de
pot nnd tho Exhibit building Ib to
bo parked, allowing for a driveway
for teams and nutos. Rose hedges
and shrubs will border tho parking.
Between tho depot and tho Wells
Fargo building thero will bo a gross
fof beds of flowers. Later on it Is
expected that tho strip of stand run
ning between tho present slto of tho
depot and tho sito It will occupy will
bo parked and ornamental trees and
shrubs put in, making a park threo
blocks in length. The plans aro very
good, and when finished will make
Medford the most attractlvo depot in
tho west.
Mr. Boschke Is very much Interest
ed in Medford and says that this Ib
tho first depot ho has had enough

can to assist In putting It through.
As it will bo a great addition to Med
ford and attract a great deal of at
tention from tho traveling public, the
co-oporntlon of tho entlro club Is
needed on this nnd tho mnny other
improvements tho club wnnts to mako
this yoar, nnd It Is to bo hopod all
tho mombors will assist. Tho club
Is simply a clvlo Improvement club,
