in 40 American cities will not see

Tho City of Medford doth ordain
as follews:
Whereas, there wero duly Issued
by tho City of Medford on tho 4th day
of August, 1900, Thirty Thousand
($30,000) Dollars of the General
Fund Bonds of tho City ot Medford,
which Bonds will bo duo and payable
on the 1st day of August, 1910, and
which Bonds bear Interest at tho rate
ol live per cent per annum.
Whereas, It is necessary that said
City issue an equal amount of its
General Fund Bonds for tho purpose
of refunding tho principal of said
Bonds upon thoir maturing, and,
Whereas, the Council deems It for
the best interest of said city to refund
said outstanding indebtedness at the
same rate of interest as the same
now bqar.
Section 1. Now, Therefore, the
City of Medford doth ordain as afore
said, that there is hereby authorized
to be Issued by the City of Medford
Its General Fund Bonds in the
amount of Thirty Thousand ($30,
000) Dollars.
Section 2. Said Bonds shall bear
interest at the rate of five per cent
per annum, and shall mature twenty
years after their date, and shall bo
Issued in denominations of five hun
dred ($500) dollars each. They
shall bo in the following ferm:
