His Own Breast.

lowing a quarrel nt thoir home, II.
JT. Lnmbort, 35, a carpenter, this
afternoon shot his wifo three times
in tho breast and sent two bullets
into his own body. Both wero taken
to a hospital, where they arc report
ed to be dying.
The shooting occurred on Dekum
avenue nnd Sixteenth street, iu the
presence of scores of people. The
couplo have two small children.
According to witnesses, Lambert
met his wifo nt the intersection of
the thoroughfares nnd shot her
down without n word.
Neighbors declare that the couple
had quarreled almost continuously
for several weeks. Tins forenoon
they wero particularly bitter toward
each other, it is said, and Lambelt
left tho house enraged.

them man and wife savored more of
a funeral than a nuptial sen-ice,
Charles Duvnlt Conner and his
bride, who was Nellie Viola Lewis,
joyously began their houevmoon to
day. Conner is an undertaker. Late
yesterday he brought his sweetheart
hero from Los Angeles and hurried
to the undertaking establishment of
a friend. Standing amid a sepul
churnl array of caskets and funeral
trappings, they were mnrried. The
elergymnn who performed the cere
mony was an undertaker before he
qualified for the cloth.
DENMARK RULED

COPENHAGEN, July 2. Den
mark is without a cabinet today, fol
lowing the acceptance by King Fred
erick of the resignation of his cab
inet members.
The government's defeat in the
recent election, in which its plan to
reorganizo the national diet was at
stake, is given as tho cause of the
cabinet's action.
Premier Zahlo and the other min
isters sought to resign May 27, but
on request of the king they retained
their portfolios for the time being.

Sign of tho Four' was presented for

Next week's bill is "Doris," a
beautiful society drama written by

Couldock. who will be remembered
for their great work in "Hazel
Kirke."
"Doris" is said to bo a play full
of heart interest, peculiarly adapt
ed to the Athon compauy, and allow
ing the scenic artist special lati
tude, as U requires five complete
sets, which Artist Leo Ilutton has
just completed.
Owing to tho Fourth of July cele
bration at Jacksonville there will be
no performance Monday night, but
the first performance of "Doris"
will lio given on Tuesday night.
