MHford People Will Soon Have
Ideal Spot in Which to Find Rcc-

e Opened.
Too Late to Classify
When tho pmns of tho Medford
Natatorium and Amusomont company
are finally completed, Mcdford will
fears ono of tho flnost amusemont
parks of any city of Its size on tho
coast,
The plans Intludo a sconlc railway,
BWlmmlng tanks, chutes, a moving
picture theater and besides parked
grounds, whoro both old and young
may spond their leisure hours In tho
open. air.
Tho big boiler for tho heating of
the building and tho bulldlns itsolf
is practically enclosed. Tho work is
"being pushed forward as fast as pos
sible, and Contractor Stewart Is hand
icapped now only by lack of material,
much of which, ordered somo timo
ago, has failed to arrlvo yet.
TJhUI ono visits the grounds and es
timates tho magnitude of tho under
taking It Is difficult to realize what
Its completion means to tho people
of this city, and its environs. There
will bo a natatorium and amusemont
park capable of accommodating sev
ral hundred people, with high-class
amusements at a nominal price. It
-will be a place whero one can take
lis family or friends for tho evening
-with no danger of otfenuo.

JACKSONVILLE
VS. MEDFORD
Old Rivals Will Clash This After
noon Two Victories Over Central
Point Makes the County Seat
Team Chesty.
The Grants Pass tennis club team
-won tho first tennis tournament this
year by a comfortnble margin, win
iiing men's singles from Medford and
Talent, men's doubles from Mcdford
and mixed doubles from Medford and !
Jacksonville.
Jacksonville won from Talent in ,
man's singles and Medford won from '
Talent in men's doubles. A number
ef events were cancelled as tho teams
from Ashland failed to appear, and
ike ladies' evnts were cancelled on
account of a drouth of players.
Considerable interest is being man
ifested in this tournament and the
proppect is bright for a series of
good tournaments this year.
The teams competing today were
composed of the following players:
Grants Pass Misses McLean and
"Bartlett, Messrs. Ager, Thurber and
Toss.
Jacksonville Miss Thompson and
Mr. Wells.
Medford Miss Not norland and
Messrs. Rothema), Campbell, Eriek-
son, Beeson and Johnson.
Having won a, couple of games
from tho Central Pointers, old Jack
sonville mil ho here this afternoon
with blood in its eye and "pegs" in
tho sleoves of its bnll players, to
attempt to ako auothor slice off of
tho Medford percentage column.
They will know that that they have
been in somo ball gnmo beforo they
get through, howover. At Grants
Pass tho boys were all dead on their
feet. They won't bo that way to
morrow. Tho big red-top's ankle is all right
again, and all the boys nro full of
ginger.
Should Wilkinson fail to get back
Becbco will probably cover tho first
bag, with either Hill or Music as
backstops.
There will probably be a now face
or two in tho lineup.
It is to laugh when tho Jackson
ville scribe talks about playing all
homo boys. Strain, Anderson nnd
Smith arc all natives of tho old town.

Many Raisins Burned.
FRESNO, Cal., June 11. Tho po
lice are working today on a theory
"that fire which destroyed a ware
house containing 2,000 tons of rais
ins in this city last night was of in
cendiary origin. There have been
several incendiary fires in Fresno re
cently. It is estimated the loss in raisins
in the fire was $100,000.
The stock was owned by several
Pacific Coast packing companies.

Just a
Story
(Continued.)
In my Inst I told you whoro I caino
from and my reasons for entering
the real estato business, but maybe
you do not enro what my reasons
are. If so, it may interest you to
know what my reasons aro in regard
to just and honest dealing. That may
interest you. I hopo so, anyway. I
am in this gamo to stay. All tho land
in this valloy must bo cut just as you
would do with a big wedding enke,
and nil these cuts must bo sold over
and over again. So you sco that a
man who establishes a reputation for
square dealing is going to get a part
of this business, nnd I am forming
my plans accordingly, so you'll find
mo looking out for your interest as
well as my own. and all tho time
trying to bo close to date and a liv
ing member of our growing popula
tion. If j'ou don't wish to buy, send
your friends to mo just to bo shown.
