A. McDonald, a baseball writer, died,

a streetcar when the enr was struck
by an automobile in which he was
riding.

ing driven by Johnny Evers, the Chi
cago Nationals' second baseman.
Roth Evers nnd McDonald were hurl
ed from the automobile by the impact
with tho car. Evers escaped practi
cally uninjured, but McDonald was
not so fortunate.
