Ex-Commissioner Riley Sells 70 Acres
on Antelope Creek for $20,000
Forty Acres In Orchard.
Ex-County Commissioner Thomas
Riley has sold seventy acres of his
ranch on Antelope Creek, eleven miles
east of Medford to R. VT. Hitchcock
and son, lately of New York, for
a consideration of $20,000.
"The have a bargain, too," said
Mr. Riley, in an interview today.
Within five years it will lbe worth
$50,000. There are forty acres of
orchard on the place I sold and it
will come in bearing soon. I came
nenr selling the seventy acres and
some 300 more I have adjoining for
$10,000 a few years ago and it al
most gives he heart failure when I
thirik of it. The balance of the place
is temporarily off the market. I don't
have to sell now, and I think I'll hold
on a little whole."
