MEDFORD AUDIENCE
The Pantages vaudeville show at
tho Mcdford Theatre last night was
above the average of such Bhows. In

look good in any company and one
of them, the Marimbo band, is with

Oliver Strikes Hard at Society
Fads and False Religons
About 1500 people found their wny
to the tabernacle last night to hear
Evangelist Oliver preach on the sub
ject, "Job's Wife." The text was Job
2:9, "Then, said his wife unto him:
'Dost thou still retain thine integ
rity? Curse God and die." "
For an hour and a nunrter Dr.
Oliver held the attention of the large
audience as he called their attention to
the modern Job's wife, after empha
sizing the fact that we need more
men like Job, who, when called to
pass through sorrow, affliction or ad
versity, will still remain true to God
and the truth. Dr. Oliver named
some classes of women who belong
to tho samo household of Job's wife.
Dr. Oliver spoke of tho "Nagging"
woman, the "faddist," who becomes
a slave to fashion and who takes up
with religious fads as well. The
"society" women of the day who
give their time to frivolity and neg
lect the things of home also received
their share of disapproval.
Is the Bible Inspired of God?
A special Invitation is given the
skeptic and Infidel as well as all who
are desirous of knowing the truth
concerning the Inspiration of tho Bi
ble, to attend tho meeting tonight, as
Dr. Oliver will handle in his char
acteristic, scholarly and forceful man
ner the Important subject, "Is tho
Blblo Inspired of God?"
