SALT LAKE CITY, April 10.
Heavy frost over Salt Lake und
Provo valley and as far north as
Cache valley Inst night caused a vast
amount of damage to fruit crops, al
though in the rgor orchards whore
smudgo pots wore kept burning the
loss was comparatively light. Reports
from other portions of tho stato and
Idaho last night indicated that tho
frost was genernl over a wide area
of country and that heavy damage
would be reported today. The poach
orchards, now in blossom, suffered
the greatest loss, with apricots and
cherries nipped in certain parts, but
not generally.
