eral reorganization of tho national
defenses and involving an expendi
ture during tho next ten years of
$G75,000,000. The plan has been

chiefs ot tho war depattment and
other military authorities under the
presidency of Promler Stolypln, and
has received the approval of tho czar.
For land defenses $325,000,000
has been ar.'lgne-.l This sum will be

fortresses at Korno and Brest-Lltov-sky
and for the construction of the
now chain of fortresses in tho inter
