is apparently a bad cold in tho head,
and liccnmcs contagious when fully
devoloped. First, lance swelling un
der tho eye, press out jolly-liko mat
tor; second, wash out wound, nose
and upper part of mouth with solu
tion of equal parts turpentine and
coal oil, a small syringe is conveni
ent for this operation; third, put u
pinch of soda under eyelids and in
the wound. Treatment to bo repent
ed every other day until cured.
Birds afflicted should bo quaran
tined to avoid contamination, and see
that water doos not flow from hospi
tal to other fowls.

club starts out with 100 charter
members, and it in expected that

a competent athletic instructor may

will ho arranged a shower bath,

DIES AT JACKSONVILLE
Mm. Margaret Chapmen, a pionoor
of Southern Oregon, died at tho resi
dence of her daughter, Miss Cather
ine Chapman, in Jacksonville, Feb
