Threo now clubs vero elected to membership In the American Auto mobile association at the regular monthly meeting ot tho cxecutlvo committee, held recently at national headquarters, 437 Fifth avenue, New York. They wore: Atlanta Automo moblle association ot Atlanta, Ga.; Waco Automobile club, Waco, Tex., and the Rowan County Automobile club of Salisbury, X. C. At tho samo timo favorable reports were received indicating that acttvo work is pro gressing toward the formation of Btato associations In Texas, North Carolina, Alabama and Florida. Secretary B. M. Reed of tho Tampa club stated that automobile Interest was Increaclng rapidly in all parts of Florida and the clubs that are likely to be affiliated with tho state body will be tho Tampa, Daytona, DeLand, Orlando, Bartow, Brookvlllo, Ocala, Gainesville and Jacksonville clubs. President Lewis B. Spearo of Boston, who presided at the meeting, an nounced the appointment of Ralph W. Smith, president of tho Denver Motor club, also president ot tho Col orado Statae Automobllo association, as a member ot the A. A. A. commlt-toc.
