Largo quantities of apples as usual
at this tirao of tho year are now go
ing into storage, and tho markot nat
urally is to some extent affected by
these operations. Wiuesaps, New
towns, Spitzcnborgs, Black Twigs,
Bon Davis and Gnnos are tho chief
lato-kooping sorts that are being put
nwny, though Jonathans and Bald
wins nro also being stored to some
extent for lato winter and early
spring markot. Tho two lust named
varieties nro not first-class keepers,
and for that reason do not figure as
Inrgoly in tho storngo business as
tho other sorts.
Tho local markot raeantimo is in
n very largo way supplied with tho
fall varieties that cannot ho counted
on to keep long and with poor to in
different stock of tho kooping sorts
