Twenty-Cent Rise in Flour Market.
Portland—There was an advance o f
20 cents a barrel in the price o f flour
Thursday, all parts o f the list being
affected. The rise w ill put the whole
sale quotation on fam ily patents at
$8.40. This is the quotation that pre
vailed from November 13 to November
25, 1916. Later the market dropped
off to $7.80, but resumed its upward
course on January 3.
Flour haa not
sold higher than this quotation since
