D AVID ROBINSON, M. D.
There are many things which
would add to the comfort, safety
and convenience of the Mosier
public, an important one being
the proper lighting of the princi
pal streets. The Civic Improve
ment Club raised sufficient funds
this Fall to purchase three gaso
line lamps which were placed in
advantageous positions on our
streets and are a great conven-
venience when in working order.
But it takes money to main
tain even three lights. Money
for this purpose was raised by
subscription, but not eno«gh to
keep them going constantly. The
treasury of the Civic Improve
ment . Club is about empty and
it will be necessary for the citi
zens to come to the rescue if we
would have our streets lighted.
For the information of those
who have been approached per
sonally or by letter and who have
subscribed or promised to give
money to maintain the lights,
we will state that in a recent is

earlier he begins the sooner
will he acquire it. One of
the best ways to begin is to
open a bank account with a
reputable bank like the MO
SIER V A L L E Y B A N K . It
behooves all young men to
make this start early in their
careers. Among the imme
diate benefits are:
You will be more systematic
in all your business transac
tions.
You will be more successful
because you will conduct
your affairs with greater
economy, while the surplus
funds actually accumulated
will give you resources to
use for more profitable buy
ing and to take advantage
of opportunities where ready
money is required. One of
the chief causes of business
failures is lack o f capital.
Every man as well as every
business needs a reserve
fund.
