There are many things which
would add to the comfort, safety
and convenience of the Mosier
public, an important one being
the proper lighting of the princi
pal streets. The Civic Improve
ment Club raised sufficient funds
this Fall to purchase three gaso
line lamps which were placed in
advantageous positions on our
streets and are a great conven-
venience when in working order.
But it takes money to main
tain even three lights. Money
for this purpose was raised by
subscription, but not eno«gh to
keep them going constantly. The
treasury of the Civic Improve
ment . Club is about empty and
it will be necessary for the citi
zens to come to the rescue if we
would have our streets lighted.
For the information of those
who have been approached per
sonally or by letter and who have
subscribed or promised to give
money to maintain the lights,
