in town 'yesterday. Mr. Campbell
called at this office and renewed his
subscription and ordered the Weekly
Oregonian for a year. He also re
newed the subscription of Miss "Mary
Young, Wroxeter, .Ontario; ' 'Canada.
Mr. Campbell's father, who has spent
the past winter with them, departed
last Thursday for his home in Canada.

The county Sunday School conven
tion was held at lone, last Friday and
Saturday. The attendance was rather
small, but the interest was good. The
following officers were elected for the
ensuing year: President, Prof.. W. C.
Howard; vice-president, Rev. T. W.
Atkinson; Secretary, L. D. McCall;
Treasurer, Paul Balsinger; Supt.
Home Department, H. Taylor; Ele
mentary Supt., Mrs. Gertrude Whiteis;
Teacher Training Supt., Rev. J. B.
Hoadley; Executive Committee, E. H.
Andrews' for one year. Rev. E, T.
Allen for two years, and Vawter Craw
ford for three years. . .' .
State Field Worker Phipps was
present and proved himself a host in
helping to make the convention a suc
cess. Nearly all the Sunday School
have paid their assessment of three
cents per member for the support of
the State work. If all will send their
assessments to the treasurer at lone
soon, the assessments will be paid in
full for the year before the State con
vention. : ' '
