home.
Two parties have been given during
the past two weeks. One at Art
Hunts and the other at Alton Baseys.

came up to play the Lexington school
team last Friday evening. At the
close of the game the score stood 19
to 5 in favor of the Lexington school

Mary Eunice, Infant doughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John N. Helms, died
suddenly last Thursday ' morning.
Funeral services were held In the M.
E. Church South Friday afternoon,
Rev. J. C. White, of Strawberry, of
ficiating, after which the remains were
laid to rest In the Lexington cemetery.
Little Mary was born September 13,
1906 and had never been considered
a healthy child but death coming sud
denly was a great shock to her parents,
who have the heartfelt sympathy of the
entire community.
Disillusioned.
Little Jonathan Edward had often
begged his mother to take him to
church. That was his heart'lesire.
So one fine Sunday morning mother
took little Jonathan Edward, who,
