Thursday evening was a success in

their appearance about eight o'clock
and made merriment for the specta
tors and life a turden for the floor
manager, as Dinah insisted on the
floor manager taking part in the fest
ivities and enjoying, at least a part of
the good time of ethers. At nine
o'clock the judges awarded the prizes.
The prize for the best sustained gentle
man character was awarded to Roy
Munkers, who representee Frost, while
Harry Munkers dressed as a lady,
captured first prize for the best sus
tained lady character. L. A. Purdy
representing Dinah, the colored lady
from Portland, was an easy winner of
the ladies second prize. Modesty for
bids us mentioning the name of the
party representing Sambo, who took
second prize for gentlemen ( The
crowd entered into the spirit of merry
making and all seemed to enjoy them
selves to the utmost.
