The Wheatfield man made a trip to
the Burchell ranch last Friday and
found every one busy in the harvest
field. From what we seen we believe
that a number of the farmers have
been unduly scared about the wheat
crop.
DAVIS-ALLISON
The marriage of Percy Allison and
Miss Lottie Davis was solemnized in
Heppner Tuesday evening, July 31.
Mr. Allison is an employee of the 0.
R. & N. Co., being a member of one
of their crews of bridge carpenters and
is known by many Lexington people.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. J. Davis, of this city, and is
one of Lexington's popular young la
dies, being well and favorably known
by almost everyone. Mr. and Mrs.
Allison came to Lexington Wednesday
morning and left this morning for Pen
dleton where they will reside. The
Wheatfield joins In wishing them a
long and successful married life.
SERVICES SUSPENDED
On account of so many people being
out of town during the harvest season,
It has been decided to suspend Sunday
morning services at the M. E. Church
South during the month of August.
The Epworth League services will al
so be suspended for the month.
All other services will be held as
usual. Sunday School every Sunday
morning at 10 o'clock. Preaching
2d and 4th Sunday evenings at 8
o'clock.
