NEARLY THREE TONS
OF BUTTER JN '-ONE DAY
KAUPI3CH CREAMERY."
USES TWO TONS
OF SALT PER
WEEK
In one day last veek, the Kaupisch
creamery turned out 5,760 pounds of
butter. Nearly three tons of butter in
a single day is a huge output for one
establishment. The yield was the big
gest day's work in the- history of the
Kaupish plant. It is expected, how
ever, that a bigger output will be made
tomorrow.
The business of the establishment
has grown so that approximately a ton
of salt per week is used in the butter
department, and another ton in the
icecream department each we'ek. Two
to three tons of Ice per day Is consum
ed in the various branches of the busi
ness. Ten men are employed at the
plant. The enterprise is about the
biggest 'money disburser in the county.
It did a business of $80,000 last year
and expects to reach a total of $150.
000 the current year. Though but
just started, it manufactures, even in
the present cool weather, an average
of 1 00 gallons of Icecream per day,
a considerable portion of which is ship
ped and sold in neighboring towns.

HOW. TO BREAK UP A COLD
- It may be a surprise to many to
learn that a severe cold can be com
pletely broken up in one or two days'
time. The first symptoms of ' a cold
are a dry, loud cough, a profuse watery
discharge from the nose, and a thin,
white coating on the tongue. , When
Chamberlain's cough remedy is taken
every hour on the first appearance of
these symptoms, it counteracts the ef
fect of the cold and restores the sys
tem to a healthy condition within a day
