Lexington has a splendid system cf

two churches, good graded school, two
general stores, flouring mill, bank, drug
store, doctor,1, two blacksmith shops,
meat market, jewelry store, pastime,
agricultural implement house, barber
shop, two saloons, two hotels, newspa
per, lumber yard, two dray lines, pho
tographer, real estate agency and a
first class creamery in course of con
struction. Lexington Is situated nine miles
from Heppner, the county seat of Mor
row county, and is in the heart of the
very best farming community in the
county.
Morrow county has a population of
about 6,500, land area ' 2,021 square
miles, standing timber 147,000,000
feet, Climate, annual rainfall 15
Inches, mean temperature 50 degrees,
the soil is , a heavy loam, plenty of
