John H. McLaughlin, contestee, In which
it is alleged that jaid John H. McLaughlin
has totally abandoned said claim and failed
to reside thereon! in any manner for more
than six months last past; that he has made
no Improvement of any character upon
said tract; that paid alleged absence was
not due to his employment in the army,
navy or marine corps of the United States
in time of war. Said parties are hereby
notified to appear, respond and offer evi
dence touching said allegation at 10 o'clock
a. m. on July 19, 1906, before J., P. Wil
liams, a U. S. Commissioner, at his office
in Heppner, Oregon, and that final hearing
